In 2007 we set out to rethink community development in Westwood

Since then, we have transformed one of Denver's communities, historically impacted by social inequities, into a thriving and resilient community. We serve as a model for how community and neighborhood cultural identities can be preserved and celebrated within economic revitalization efforts.

MISSION

Our mission is to work with communities historically impacted by social inequities to develop resident leaders, cultivate community food systems, and create an economy owned by the community.

PURPOSE

The purpose of Re:Vision is to cultivate thriving, resilient communities through food.

HOW WE CREATE CHANGE

Re:Vision uses food as an entree into community self-sufficiency via our urban agriculture model, hiring and training community members to lead our food-based programs, youth education opportunities, and nurturing small businesses. These efforts, which revolve around the local food system, result in positive economic outputs including neighborhood-based employment opportunities and professional development, entrepreneurial and local business support, and community preservation market model.

VISION

We believe that a better world is possible. We believe we can create a world based on love, compassion, collaboration, and stewardship for the planet, our children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of every person in our community.
